Nearest railway stations include the ones at Kiratpur Sahib and at Shimla, located at 65 km and 85 km from Bilaspur, respectively.
Bus services are available at Shimla and Chandigarh to Bilaspur. Many tourists prefer driving down to the township, among the winding roads of the hill thus making the road trip enjoyable. From Bilaspur, it is 40 km drive up to the Bahadurpur Fort, though driving on the mountains can be dangerous. Hence most tourists prefer trekking up the mountain to the fort.
